Don't take this show lightly; it'll kick your butt!

This is probably my weakest effort as a director; I was tired of wrestling with sets in the park, and I was doing a little bit too much thinking. The show was under-designed and over-conceived... not a great combination. The cast deserved better from me.

Anyway, Michelle, Pete, Brenda, the kids, and the rest of the cast were great, and I met some wonderful people. My Mom worked her tail off to provide some great costumes (yet again). I also learned a lot (you always learn more from failure than success), and I was more than ready to move on to CPCT.

I wouldn't have been able to mount the shows I produced at CPCT if it hadn't been for the obstacles I had to learn to overcome at Highland Parks. I highly recommend it as a place to cut your directorial teeth and hone your craft. If you can put on a good show there, you can put one on anywhere! …oh, and "Sound of Music"?... I'm hoping we'll meet again!
